Intern for Liz Lynne MEP (UK, ALDE)

Liz Lynne MEP, 1st Vice Chair of the European Parliament's Employment and Social Affairs Committee seeks an intern for her Brussels office.

The ideal candidate will be:

- Educated to degree level with preferably some relevant work experience

- Fluent in English. Competence in French and/or another European language would be desirable.

- Offering a proven interest in and grasp of both European and UK politics. An understanding and sympathy for the aims of the UK Liberal Democrats is highly desirable.

Candidates with an interest in Employment and Social Affairs Issues, Disability Rights, Age issues or Health issues will be of particular interest.

Duration of contract: From 1st September 2010 for three months, with possible extension and/or the possibility to apply for a full time contract.

Deadline: Friday 9th July 2010, 12:00 noon BST.

Interviews will be conducted in Brussels on Wednesday 14th July

Salary: Reasonable expenses to cover accommodation and other costs will be offered.
